I am obese, that’s what Wii Fit told me this morning, ugly word, with ugly consequences. I had lost 60 pounds, now it is back, ugh. A death in my life combined with a back injury really messed me up. No excuses though, I put the food in my mouth;/
Enough about that.
New plan- A traditional model of eating based on the work of Weston Price. Organic (expensive) whole foods. I think because I have always have had issues with my teeth, I was drawn to his work and the amazing dental health of some primitive cultures. It also intregrates nicely into many diet plans anyway with the message that dairy can HELP with weight loss, that organic whole foods are good, that vegetables and protein are important. The biggest difference would be the amounts of fats. Some practitioners eat up to 60 percent of fat, from butter (organic) meats, full fat dairy, nuts, etc.
I compromised I am going to do more of a 40-30-30 general rule. So 1 percent milk, not whole. Low fat cheese etc. Though I am still paying a small fortune for free-range eggs, chicken, organic yogurt, milk, and butter. Not only for health, but I feel alot better knowing the animal prodocts are not full of antibiotics and haven’t lived in inhumane circumstances, even if they are raised for food.
Workouts: I am going to use Wii fit in the morning for balance, coordination, some walking, and flexibility. I can check my weight first thing on it and then just wake myself up gently with some exercise. In the evenings it will be interval training on my treadmill, along with Turbulence Training Strength workouts.
Whew. I’ll post links of traditional eating later.
So long:)
